Rose Petralia – junktowncooking & @ink19mag – is joining the team as an art mentor this Fall-Winter at BAM!
Rose: “I create to show my love – it doesn’t happen all the time, but it always means something. The first thing I ever wanted to be when I grew up is an artist, the second is a teacher, and I have done both, but I’m not finished growing up. I am passionate about empowering people to do and be what and who they want.”
A few of her many creative pursuits:
“I make soap and food, and I take pictures of both. I re-make clothes to fit the way I want them to, and I make new clothes, curtains, bags, and other useful stuff that either doesn’t exist or costs too much for me to buy.”
