Diane Anglim @diane.anglim is an assemblage artist with a heritage from the island of Cayman Brac. She uses found objects and paper mache to create beautiful assemblage sculptures and collage. This season at BAM! Diane and a group of local artists are teaching youth how to create Totems.
Diane: “My attraction to rusty things, whether they are tools or just a piece of metal, is the way that things change as they disintegrate-there is such a beauty in the color and texture…”
Diane’s work often features birds.
“…The science of birds is so amazing – migrating, nesting, mating, survival- captivates me constantly. In my art, I want to remind the viewer, that the world depends on us to keep it in balance, to be a part of keeping nature healthy…”
Diane’s art is for purchase in the Craig Gallery in Palisade, the Orbit ArtSpace @orbitartspace in Fruita and Ashleigh Christie’s @ashleighchristies in Meeker, CO.
She just recently participated in the 3rd Biennial Show with the National Gallery in Grand Cayman. She is currently in the Collage Artists of America online juried show called “Connections.”
